Some repairs are done while tuning. This includes all the things related to the exploitation of the instrument:
It happens that after some time the instrument does not work as it should and it does not play as comfortably as it used to be. In this case, it is necessary to readjust the entire mechanism. This is, i.a.:
keyboard levelling
elimination of noises in the keyboard
stagger, i.e. equalizing the moment of plucking the string (harpsichord)
feather length equalization
dampers adjustment
regulation of the so-called escapement (piano)
intonation
The extent of the necessary work can be determined only after a careful analysis of the instrument.
In the case of larger works, sometimes the instrument needs to be left in the workshop for some time. This is the case, for example, when:
the estimated time to work on the instrument is long
